What Information Should Go Into a PQQ for a Public Sector Bid?

Completing a public sector PQQ can be a daunting prospect, but a necessity if you want to supply services within this field. A public sector PQQ is generally split into five key areas with each area requiring some very specific responses in order to demonstrate your appropriateness to fulfill the tender specification.

The first area usually requires you to complete a general overview of your organisation, starting with basic information such as your company name and address and moving on to more specific details such as the legal status of the company, i.e. whether you are a sole trader, limited company or partnership, and your company registration number.

The next section will typically require you to provide details of the company’s financial situation. This will include providing annual turnover figures, details of your financial obligations and liabilities. You will have to answer questions concerning any bank loans you may have or whether you’ve defaulted on any payments. You may also have to provide information on any insurance that you hold; most PQQs will expect you to have a good level of public liability insurance and they may ask for other insurances such as employer’s liability or professional indemnity.
